The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Fauna Project |
In spite of overcast conditions, warming temperatures are bringing out the cold-blooded vertebrates as well as the invertebrates. Although the two of us present this time spent very little time observing birds, we did enjoy the antics of ribbon snakes and a green anole. A young rattlesnake was found in the courtyard, but we only heard about it later. There is a notable increase in caterpillars since last week.
