Fauna Project

The weather was cool and mostly sunny as thirteen participants completed this week's survey. A number of arthropods feed on bluebonnets, including caterpillars, grasshoppers and clover mites. The latter two are shown below, along with the characteristic whitish damage caused by the mites' sucking liquid from leaf cells.
