LARVALBUG LENS, June, 2018

Back in July, 1960, traditional family values ruled. Hence, it was common to photographically record major events, such as the christening of twins, Cindy and Lindy, shown here along with their mother and father, Donna and Charlie (Evelyn's brother and Valerie's uncle). The young couple already had a two-year-old boy and would later add another girl and boy to the family. The twins were fraternal, so there was never any issue with identification as their names were more similar than they were. Charlie and Donna were living in New Lenox and had the ceremony at a church in Joliet. John and Evelyn lived nearby, so it was a convenient time for a photo op. As Evelyn recalls, she was rather busy at the time, being almost nine months pregnant with her second child, Vicky, as well as dealing with two-year-old Val and a litter of champion-line miniature schnauzer puppies.
