| Our lens focuses for this issue on Larry's paternal aunt, Lucile, about 1946, probably in San Antonio. Her family, including as well Larry's Uncle Shelby and cousins Bob and Marcile, with Larry's paternal grandparents, Papa Frank and Mama Pearl, sometimes too joined in the hobby by Julia, often played croquet in one of their backyards on Sunday afternoons following church, a big chicken meal out, and a rest. Lucile was quite skilled at the game. |
