Six people conducted this week's survey under hot and sunny conditions. The Beaded Lacewing shown below is an uncommon insect belonging to a very small family, the larvae of which are predators of drywood termites. Another insect not often encountered is the Scudder's Scaly Cricket. These are true crickets that live on foliage and have a silvery coating remininscent of silverfish.
