The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center Fauna Project |
The morning began cool but quickly heated up under sunny skies. One dozen people conducted this week's survey. Although the sunshine brought out plenty of butterflies, the highlight this time was a Luna Moth resting in the archway between the Administration Offices and Library. The Green Anole was seen scurrying across the path near the entry to the Administration and Research Buildings. Once it was safely up in a tree, it felt compelled to advertise its territorial claim!
