Plane Rides

A view of the plane's wing makes a brightly colored abstract. Even when clouds obscure the ground, the landscape can still be dramatic. Flying over the edge of a storm gave us a good view of some interesting cloud formations. Our flights were mostly over desert, where the only water was in manmade lakes. In California, geometric farm fields are traversed by a river. As we neared our destination, the dry eroded hills made interesting patterns.
