LARVALBUG LENS, February, 2019

Add theatrical lighting and eerie backdrops to life-sized animated dinosaur models and a museum exhibit can be a daunting place for a little kid. The child shown here is not anybody we know, but he certainly conveys the awestruck sensations many visitors felt when immersed in this prehistoric landscape within the Minnesota Children's Museum, a delightful recreational destination in St. Paul. Larry and Val joined their hosts, Tom, Vicky, Lucas, Isabella and Amie, on the excursion to the big city when they were visiting Turtle Lake, WI, in Dec., 2009. The kids had a great time and there was plenty to both engage and amuse the adults, whether it was playing with the many hands-on displays or taking photos. This image was snapped by Val.
