Our lens focuses this issue on a stunning Christmas tree being photographed by John, Val's father, with an Argus C3 camera. The photo was taken by Val's mother, Evelyn, using her own camera, during Dec., 1957, in the home of Ollie and Lois, the parents of Val's Aunt Carol, in Joliet, IL. Lois was especially enthusiastic and capable when it came to decorating for the holidays. During the late '50s and into the '60s, Val's parents took a lot of photos on slide film. These have since been scanned and saved on CDs by Evelyn.
