On a trip to Florida in December, 2008, Larry takes a break at the Central Florida Zoo near Orlando. Val, Larry, and Peri were on an extended visit with Evelyn in Ocala for the Christmas holiday. Along with the zoo, they enjoyed many of their favorite tourist destinations for hiking and sightseeing: Silver River State Park, Kanapaha Gardens, Homosassa Springs, Washington Oaks State Park, Paynes Prairie, and the Florida Museum of Natural History, in Gainesville.
