This month we feature Amie, the youngest daughter of Vicky (Val's sister) and Tom. She, her sister, Isabella, and Vicky donated their tresses to "Locks of Love," a charity that makes wigs for cancer patients. The haircuts took place Dec. 30, 2009, at Cuts-n-Curls in Turtle Lake, WI, and was the first time the girls (ages 6 and 8) had enjoyed professional grooming. In order to qualify for the program, the hair must be at least 10 inches long, and all donors easily met that requirement. It was also a spectator sport, as Val, Larry, Tom, and Lucas all witnessed and photographed the event.
